Ventrilo upgrade |

To all Ventrilo Clients,
We shall be upgrdaing all of our servers on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 9 a.m. Central Standard Time. This will give most of our European Clients the opportunity to install the Ventrilo 3.0 client before their raiding and gaming times.
Here's a quote from Brian Knapp, the creator and President of Flaship Industries inc.
"Please be sure to tell your users that this software is not compatible with the 2.3 servers and they should wait to download the new clients until their server has been upgraded. When a 2.3 client tries to connect to a 3.0 server it will pop a message saying the server is now running 3.0.0. However, if they install the 3.0 client and then try connecting to a 2.3 server it will just sit there saying Contacting server and will never come back. But they can click disconnect to stop this process.

So please, do not install the new software untill after you are sure your server has been upgraded to the ventrilo 3.0 version.
This will be easy to do. We will have it posted on the very top of http://www.ventriloservers.biz .
We will upgrade all services in the matter of seconds on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 9 a.m. Central Standard Time. The upgrade will not remove any files or properties running on your current ventrilo service.

Bump for the friendly reminder. You'll likely need to upgrade your Ventrilo client tomorrow when you go to get into any Ventrilo server.

At the moment the only option appears to be the old version to download.

Yes. To avoid any confusion, they won't release the client until the server side is upgraded. Just check again tomorrow and you should be golden.
