Hmmm, yellowed nails vs. liver failure... Tough choice there...

Here's another theory to play with:

Take a simple formula like Ohm's Law, E=IxR. If one variable remains constant, the by changing 1 of the other 2, the third will change in proportion to it, either direct or inverse.

Now, lets assume that we can just assign these 3 variables to a different data set.

If we replace Voltage, Current and Resistance with Space, Time and Matter (Not neccesarily in that order), then who is to say that there cannot be multiple universes existing in the same space at different times??? Or maybe multiple universes in different spaces at the same time... And the list goes on and on, but you get the basics...

I'd go on, but I'm late for the game...

and if you REALLY want a headache, look up "Multiverse"... the idea (of which there is actually some empirical data) that there may be several entire other Universes co-existing within or around our own.... which may also be part of yet another body.

Occasionally, I have pondered this one. I’ve wondered if this is where Angelic beings are. They are aware of our physical world and are able to be part of it, but appear to not be made of matter as we know it. Maybe they are in a parallel universe. There are many verses in the bible that seem to hint toward these multiverses. Not real clear, but has made me wonder. I’ll be a good dog and not dive any further into the religion subject.

I did look up multiverse in Wikipedia. I was aware of some of the theories, but wow there are lots of them. Seems one would almost go insane trying to comprehend all of them. You are correct; it will make your head spin. The entry under the heading “Fake universe” was interesting. I liked the part about artificial intelligence.

While we are on the subject of Pseudoscience (not sure if all/any of these subjects fit that term, but I used it for lack of a better word). Does anyone really believe that gravity is what we have been taught it is? Lately I have been feeling like I am being pushed down instead of pulled down! Just Kidding! Far out man! That's very deep! I've never looked at it that way. Does anyone have any scooby snacks? I've really got a case of the munchies.

Dude! You might want to mellow out. This is a family server. We are not suppose to use four letter words like "WORK".

Shut up Randy! I swear to .....I gotta go! Talk to you guys later.

i haven't ever smoked weed. when i kill brain cells it's done the old fashioned way.... with booze.

there was a small article in Popular Science about a year back that discussed a variant of the Alcubierre drive (a Star Trek like "warp" drive), that used a mathematical model for "negative energy". all measurable energy is positive; negative energy (which theoretically exists, but there is NO understanding of how to actually create it or measure it) would hypothetically be capable of collapsing space between the origin and the destination. unlike Star Trek, you wouldn't actually accelerate... nor would you traverse a gravitic worm-hole. Instead, a field of negative energy surrounds your vessel and more of it is directed towards the target destination, collapsing the space between the two. since less negative energy exists between the vessel and the origin point, the space between would expand.

example (where "#" = origin, "->" = vessel, and "@" = destination):

normal space looks like this
#|->..|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....|.....| @

the same distance with the application of negative energy towards the destination does the following instantaneously (and at the same time)

#|...............................................................................->||||||||||@

^------------------------expanded space---------------------^/ ^-Collapsed space

Then, the collapsed space would become so close together, that the vessel could traverse the entire distance with a bare minimum of actual movement... like if you were in your car at a mall parking lot and pulled from the parking space you were in to the one directly ahead of you... that short of a traveled distance. Only, in this model, while you appeared to only travel on car length, you would have crossed a distance of much more (yards, miles, or even parsecs... depending on the power and duration of the negative energy).
