I gave him a call today as have many others, and I must say, Gene is the most inspiring guy I have probably ever run into. I think God is sending various hurdles his way, and he just stays positive and lives very much in the present.
It sounds like things are still in remission but he has other challenges that he is in the process of overcoming. All in a days work for Ol Scorp! I will tell you, there is no one tougher in this fine clan, than he. We wish you the very best and a very speedy recovery! VS

Hey everybody,
Here's an update.
Gene had another fall and broke more bones in his back. How he is able to walk is beyond me. He's just something else, you know.
He went to the doctor today and after a blood test the doctor immediately wanted him to undergo another spinal tap. He mentioned that this was extremely painful.
His platelets were down to 7 which is extremely low and now they're waiting for the results of the spinal tap. I hope and pray that, once again, he'll come through with no trace of cancer.
GENE HAS ASKED FOR YOUR PRAYERS THAT THE RESULTS WILL ONCE AGAIN BE GOOD.
