OK,

A day late, but I called him today.

His condition has changed a little for the better but it's not great. His plateletts are still not regenerating and when he gets transfutions the counts drop. He's also back on the medication again.

Other than that he is positive and believes he can beat this thing.

He asked that you pray for his plateletts to get back to normal.

Thanks for the update, Bogey. I've been praying for him ever since I've known about his condition. There's a saying that would fit great for Scorp: If you truly think you can accomplish something, then you can. Your limits are where you think they are.

Oh, some of you may not know that he cannot climp stairs right now due to the broken broken bones in his back and cannot access his pc upstairs.

He told me that he dug up an old laptop and should be able to get on the web and the forums soon.

All,

I just spoke to our dear brother Gene a.k.a. {uZa}Scorpius. It took a while before I finally got hold of him, as "Lines between The Netherlands and the USA were all occupied". Shocked

Anyway, I had a nice conversation with Gene. I apologize if I did not get the medical language right, I am not a doctor. Also Gene had a bad night last night and he was on some sort of new medication and therefore a little drousy.

He has had some rough times over the past two weeks, and the problems with his back are slowly disappearing.
He is on a new medication which has an experimental enzyme (he said it was from the brain stem of a Chinese gerbil Rolling Eyes

, please correct me if I am wrong.) That gives him a lot of hope, and honestly, he sounded quite a bit better and more positive than last time I spoke to him, some three weeks ago.

Currently he is trying to generate some extra cash selling phone cards. "Every little bit helps", he said. Also he is doing all that is necessary to get his non-profit organization started.

He said he was very happy to hear my voice again, He said it gives him positive energy and strength to hear from us. I told him that we here at {uZa}, that is members and regulars, are thinking about him and praying for him and his family every day. I said 'Hi" from all of you, and he sends his regards back!

Please keep praying for Gene and his family, my sisters and brothers.

Hello All,
Long Time huh?
I would not know where to start other then to say Thank You to all who are praying for me & showing support, etc..

Needles to say, if I haven't logged on my computer in over a month...you know I'm ill (LOL).

I am still very ill and things are not going as planned.

Rather then get into all of it in 1 post, I will post a few over the next few days for those who are interested.

I also plan to respond to EVERY SINGLE POST, PM, EMAIL, Etc... ASAP.

Please just give me a little time as I don't know what days I will feel well enough to post, what days I get treatments, what days am I in the hospital, etc.., etc.. I am however GOING to respond to everyone in time. In fact, as soon as I can I will send you a PM.

Please keep up the PRAYERS. I really do need them now as much as I ever did.

I really am proud to be a part of such a GREAT group of people like we have in this clan!!!

May it last until the nurse has to change our diapers in between C.O.D. & U.T. maps....LOL
