Christmas eve news... 911 caller: Husband won’t eat dinner- Authorities reviewing woman’s frequent use of emergency number. KERRVILLE, Texas - Prosecutors planned to review the case of a woman authorities claim has called 911 30 times over six months for non-emergency reasons, including a call to complain that her husband refused to eat his dinner. Last Friday, the woman allegedly made a pair of calls to 911, including a hang-up and another where a woman was heard screaming. Police were dispatched to the residence and officer Paul Gonzales said she told police that "her husband did not want to eat his supper." A police report said the 53-year-old woman was also yelling "about things that happened two weeks ago." The woman now faces charges of 911 abuse.  _________________

THOMSON, Ga. - An east Georgia man trying to get revenge on his estranged girlfriend by firebombing her home was being held without bond after he threw the device into the wrong house, police said. Authorities said a 25-year-old man was charged with arson, aggravated assault and possession of an explosive device — all felonies. The Augusta Chronicle reported Tuesday he was being held in the McDuffie County jail. _________________

and this gem... Man Impaled With Knife Orders Coffee. Man Tells Police He Walked To Diner After Attack.  WARREN, Mich. - Diners at a metro Detroit restaurant got more than a full plate Sunday when a man walked in with a 5-inch knife in his chest. Warren police said the 52-year-old man called 911 at about 10 p.m., saying he had been attacked in Warren but had just walked a mile to the Brayz’s Hamburgers in Hazel Park. Restaurant employee George Mirdita said the man walked in, ordered a coffee and said he was waiting for an ambulance to come. Sir... would U like a bandage with that coffee?????????? _________________

to con't... Police said the man told them he had been walking north on Warner Avenue near Eight Mile Road when another man approached him and demanded cash. The man told police that when he refused to hand over any cash, he was attacked and stabbed -- the knife being shoved into the left side of chest all the way to the black plastic handle. “Yes ma’am, could uh … is it possible to send an ambulance here?” the man is heard saying to a 911 operator. “There’s a knife stuck in my chest.” The man goes on to tell the operator he thinks it’s a steak knife. Mirdita said he can’t believe how calm the man was, and that he never complained of being in any pain. “To come in with something stuck in your chest and order a cup of coffee, and sit down … he was mingling with the guy next to him,” he said. The man was treated and police said he is expected to be fine. He's one tough hombre!!!!  _________________

As an only partially lapsed Jew, I was not well-versed in Christmas traditions, and I was completely ignorant of Swedish customs and culture. So I was prepared for surprises. I was not prepared for this: Every year on Dec. 24 at 3 p.m., half of Sweden sits down in front of the television for a family viewing of the 1958 Walt Disney Presents Christmas special, "From All of Us to All of You." Or as it is known in Sverige, Kalle Anka och hans vänner önskar God Jul: "Donald Duck and his friends wish you a Merry Christmas." I guess we are no different! Here we all sit down and watch 24 hrs of "A Christmas Story" to see if Ralphie Parker get's his Christmas wish... a "Red Ryder BB" gun on Christmas Day!!! Now don't tell me U haven't watched it.... U know U have!!! _________________
