I have on order a BF3 server. It will play 30 players for now which we can upgrade to 64 players at a later date.

I didn't go with 64 players because of the "lag" issue that I am sure will hamper game play...well that and its almost $100 a month!! So i'll do the 30 for now then if interest is high plus the playability is good we can upgrade
